ISABEL SANCHIS #1

Dedicated to meet the needs of the woman of fashion and elegance with the choicest fabrics and obsessed with detailed feminine elegance,Isabel Sanchis is a famous Spanish designer  who not only understands the true meaning of elegance but the intricacy of details and tales. She was  born in 1956 and even as a teenager she began doing fashion modern creations for her and her friends, and soon opened her fashion house, which nowadays is very famous.

Streaming from all her collections, she has proven to be a philosopher of femininity and a master of the Chanelian Theory which states that, “Dress shabbily and they remember the dress; dress impeccably and they remember the woman.”

I am a subscriber to the fact that a dress should mean more than sexy attractions and perverted stares. In a dress, a woman should be the heroine of that moment, telling her story with poise and truth yet concealing somethings to create suspense and the element of MORE. When a dress is predictable it become periodic and time constrained, a mortal element with an perspective future. Valentino, Dolce and Gabbana, Chanel, Alexander Mcqueen, Christian Dior, Zuhair Murad, Elie Saab among other classical designers  have created a theme and woman who is both timeless and empowering.

Isabel Sanchis' dresses are an epitome of timelessness and immortality in the line of fashion. Each dress is created with precision and  delicate cuts that translates each piece with a new freshness. “In order to be irreplaceable, one must always be different.”

Her Summer/Spring 2015 collections calculates fine detailing, drapes and symmetrical cuts ,vibrant colouring and ruffles to equate the elegance and timelessness of true fashion-“Simplicity is the keynote of all true elegance.”
― Coco Chanel
I must say that the photograph and entire scenery projects the dress even more to a point of acceptable fantasy. Her designs are a true fulfillment of the definition of elegance Coco Chanel created and truthfully, she reminds me of her. lol

“There is nothing more comfortable than a caterpillar and nothing more made for love than a butterfly. We need dresses that crawl and dresses that fly. Fashion is at once a Caterpillar and a butterfly, caterpillar by day, butterfly by night”

“I wanted to give a woman comfortable clothes that would flow with her body. A woman is closest to being naked when she is well-dressed.”

“Be classy. Anything but trashy.”

“Men always remember a woman who caused them concern and uneasiness.”

“Elegance is not the prerogative of those who have just escaped from adolescence, but of those who have already taken possession of their future.”

“Fashion has two purposes: comfort and love. Beauty comes when fashion succeeds.”

“Those who create are rare; those who cannot are numerous. Therefore, the latter are stronger.”

“A beautiful dress may look beautiful on a hanger, but that means nothing. It must be seen on the shoulders, with the movement of the arms, the legs, and the waist.”

“Elegance is refusal.”

“A woman can be over dressed but never over elegant.”

“In order to be irreplaceable one must be unique”

“Fashion is architecture: it is a matter of proportions.”

“Innovation! One cannot be forever innovating. I want to create classics”

“Sin can be forgiven, but stupid is forever.”

“I love luxury. And luxury lies not in richness and ornateness but in the absence of vulgarity. Vulgarity is the ugliest word in our language. I stay in the game to fight it.”

“The best colour in the whole world is one that looks best on you”

“Fashion has two purposes: comfort and love. Beauty comes when fashion succeeds.”

Looking for that daring elegance? for the right definition and  title? slip on one of these dresses(even if mentally...lol) and even Helen would stare in envy....have a Sanchistic week ahead...
