INFLATED IMAGINATIONS...

My apologies stream out without shame if I have at anytime de-emphasized the influence of fashion on both mind  and the thought most worthless materials. Art you might say breathes life into the lifeless bodies of  ordinary materials. Daisy Balloon is a creation of  Rie Hosokia an art director and graphic designer Takashi Kawada. Both together have created a unique art and breed of fashion as they fuse together balloons of various shapes and sizes to create dresses that accentuates the feminine figure while expressing art and calculated creativity.

I remember when I and my siblings had to blow air into Christmas balloon and some would unfortunately pop in our face to trigger guffaws  and  giggles. Went for wedding and marvel at how event decorators structured balloon towers and arch, bouquets and balloon rain. To see balloons, stretchy and delicate as they are manipulated and  craftily structured into wearable art only resounds the notion that all of man is art and all art is an evolution of an evolution.

Need to make a statement at a wedding or a party? try out a balloon dress. Just do well to avoid all sharp objects and angry species, lol.

Let your imagination run wild, 'Inflated imagination'

CAKES AND FABS

Sweets, cakes and cream- this widely accepted symbol of celebration is more than just a desert for the menu. Cakes are now trusted allies of the fashion designer and the designer a delicate muse for the flour artist. As a lover of words and its artistic abilities, the search for a muse  is of great important to an artist be it the one with a brush or a pair of scissors, a bowl of butter, a pile of bricks, a base guitar  or even a roll of hair extension; the muse rolls a clarion whisper in the finished product.
Of course, seed must be planted in good soil, 'Art does't spring from the muses alone, but from hard work(of the artist)...Tom Rachman'
Naked or frosted, cakes are a  beautiful sweetness that can provoke more than sugar urge. Its fusion with fashion design only buttress that fact that fashion designing is like a fishing net, searching for new inspirations in the vast ocean of art. But then, art looks to art and the unexpected to breed a new dimension of itself.
Ruffles, flowers, pearls, ribbons, the flexibility in cake creation make dresses a magnetic and unsurprising muse. Cakes can project just as much attitude as a dress can, its complexity and simplicity.

Vogue set up five pastry chefs in New York to present creations inspired by desert-like dresses(cake creations by Empire cakes and little cupcake bakeshop)

The mystical beauty in cakes is in the way they can build an imitation that resounds the solidity of the object of its inspiration. Cakes with lace textures resonates class and royal femininity. You can taste the delicacy of the event as in a wedding or bridal shower as well as have exquisite elegance personified .

Vera Wang inspired cakes were created after her 2013 collection. The dresses were embellished with satin, ruffles, ribbons, artistically cut flowers and well placed layering. Her dress art transcended into the cakes created by Vanilla cake shop and other cake artist.

This  pink and black cake won first place in the division for the professional cakes at the 2012 CO ICES Sweet Times in Rockies Sugar art show. The dress was inspired by the dress worn by Irene Adler from the famous Sherlock Homes movie.

Even the flamboyant detailing of the Ankara fabric inspires the flour artist.

"The great thing about cake is that it doesn't feel like work...kids adult, they all get the same look in their eyes when they are decorating cake..that's the magic right there..."Duff Goldman
Cakes and fashion design, definitely an art on art
