DISNEY ECCENTRICITY-HAYDEN WILLIAMS

So, I was up again searching for the next thing to give readers a face lift and then like a very seductive apple, this fell into my hungry hands-Hayden Williams. My fascination with him happened as I sort for a new way to present Disney fashion; he made a perfect picture and I can’t stop drooling over them. Hayden Williams is an aspiring fashion designer/illustrator living in London. He is a fashion enthusiast who has been drawing since the tender age of 3 years old and has developed his signature style of fashion illustration with a cartoon feel. The illustrator inspired by the female form, which you can see mostly in his collection, takes around 10 to 15 minutes to complete a rough sketch and just only an hour to turn a blank sheet of paper into chef-d’oeuvre, where he showcases and shares via social media.

In respect to his illustrations, Hayden opts to the fact that, “Women are my inspiration! Powerful, glamorous women that love luxury….the woman that knows what she wants and how to get it! That’s the woman I envision when I sketch and who I have in mind when I design. Now that my taste is more mature, I also find inspiration in fashion editorials or the way something is styled. Inspiration can vary and be very unexpected at times!

Most of his inspiration has come from his childhood where, as a child, he was captivated by Disney movies and started to draw his beloved Disney heroine characters, repeatedly sketching the female characters until they were to perfection.  Hayden has now developed and adapted his skills in fashion illustration and uses his keen eye for detail to produce some amazing work, including his designs for the ‘save the children fashion show’ which raised over £1,000 for charity.

My cartoon style I had back then has now progressed into professional fashion illustration/design as a teenager. I create fashion collections via illustration and can translate an idea from my head to paper very easily. In the near future, I would love to get a team together and have my own fashion brand. I would stick to what I know I am strongest at, which is the concept/design/illustration side of things. Who knows what the future holds, but I have big goals and I’m working hard to make them a reality!”

Snow white, Rapunzel, Cinderella, Pocahontas, Ariel, Merida, Jasmine, Tiana, Belle and all the other Disney princesses would glow with pride  over the Modern and eccentric touch added to their fashion image. He not only infuse the modern woman into these classic Disney fashion but also breathes on the personality and character of each so as to interpret them in line with their strengths, charisma, charm, boldness and even colour love. I particularly love Pocahontas and Belle; still love them all. We must say art can do more than merge colours and lines. It’s a timeless language in a time framed zone.
