FREE SPIRITED...MULLET SILHOUETTE

Fashion is a human Oliver twist, wanting more with ever new colour, silhouette, texture, fabric, architecture even. It is an endless spin of evolution, tweaking up old fashion to accommodate the growing artistic appetite of the man and woman of class. The Fishtail dress (the high and low skit as it is now called) was born in the Victorian era and implemented in formal and casual dresses, and has of course evolved with time appearing at different eras with different levels of popularity and implementation. During the 19th century, it became a trend in the mid-1870s, reappearing in the early 1880s and later in women's formal gowns and evening dresses throughout the 20th century, particularly in the late 1920s and early 1930s, where lowering hemlines were a mask that would start off 1930s silhouettes.
Emerging again in Europe and America in late 2011, the high low silhouette eventually became a worldwide fashion in spring and summer 2012.The silhouette has been given a variety of names by designers and the press, including asymmetrical and waterfall, with the most derisive term being "Mullet Skirt", used by Britain's Mirror newspaper in criticizing a version worn by singer Cher Lloyd in April 2012
As a bride, the white wedding is a day to indulge fantasies and take the glass slipper (and Prince of course) from the 1950 fairy-tale beauty. Beaded, glittered, satin, chiffon, sheer, lace, long short, ball room, mermaid, trumpet, A-line,  sheath, two pieced, pants, short, strapless, full sleeved, short sleeved, sweet heart, scoop, illusion neck line…and so the list goes on and on. Her mind literally runs through a mesh of details to conjure the prefect dress.
Now comes the challenge, would you dare to make an aisle debut in a Mullet silhouette? Long or short, it would turn heads and make a trend of the bride. I for one find it completely audacious to pull off an unconventional style for the big Cinderella day. Designer have also incorporated the cut, creating a wide range of options for looks, personality, definition, aura and expressiveness as a whole
So what say you? Dare to trend?
